The pomodoro technique was developed around the 1980′s and has gained popularity ever since. Pomodoro means tomato in Italian and is a skill used in time management to provide the worker with optimal focus plus creative freshness. It is advisable that you mark your progress with an X after every task. Note also procrastination time and time taken to switch to the next task. When interrupted during a task, it automatically affects the other activities and therefore one can choose to postpone the activity or abandon the task.

You are advised to take a low technical approach by use of a pen, mechanical timer and paper. When you wind up the timer, it is a sign that you are determined to finish the work. As the timer continues to tick, you become more motivated to complete the task.
